E-Z Pass Blackout

Has anyone tried to black out a white toll tag with paint or a vinyl wrap? After I get around to tinting my windows, my car will be pretty much blacked out (with the exception of the rims). But my E-Z Pass toll tag just jumps out in an ugly way. Technology wise it will definitely still work. I'm thinking vinyl as it is easy to reverse as you do need to swap them in and out even now and then.

I wrapped both sides on mine. Used very little double sided tape and placed it behind the mirror. Works like normal.

I know this is an old post but this post gave me the idea to black mine out as I didn't like how visible the white EZPass looked from outside of the car. Picked up some trimbrite blackout tape to wrap the back/sides/bottom of the EZPass as well as some black velcro tape. Now it's barely visible from the outside, first world problem right .

Check with your local EZpass office, I have one from IL and they don't require us to have the transponder anymore they just use your license plate number after it is captured by the camera.

In CA it was a big unit like that, just put it out when needed, never attached it, set it on dash.
In TX they are little 2"x2" stickers that are supposed to be in window all the time.. No thanks!
Plan is to use some static cling and stick them to that, pull em out when needed (which is very few times a year). With radar detector and likely a camera soon I don't want more stuff in behind mirror.. Bad enough TX has stupid registration sticker in window!
