Current/Prospective F10 M Sport Owners-Did You Cross Shop a Lincoln MKS!!??
I noticed a couple of Infiniti M56's and Lincoln MKS's sitting at the BMW PC.It looked like a setup for a comparo but the MKS made me think not.To my very big surprise....BMW is comparing the M56 and MKS to the F10 M Sport. The comparison is for internal BMW benchmarking purposes....as confirmed by a German BMW employee that was setting up the comparison. Are you shocked that BMW is benchmarking a Lincoln MKS?? The person working on the comparison said driving characteristic's would be studied as well as the feature sets of both comparison cars. What do you think? I can understand the M56 as comparable.... not the MKS.The F10's had a nifty Video setup on the front passenger seat.Pretty interesting stuff. Thanks. PalBay

You got it all wrong mate. They can't shift these so they're on sale 2 for 1.

I drove the MKS and almost identical Taurus SHO. For less than $50,000 I could get a vehicle equipped exactly the same as my $70,000 535. Similar size on the outside and bigger on the inside. Turbo engine with over 300 HP (350?). AWD, leather, nav, Satellite, Keyless - on and on. The only thing it didn't have was a top view camera. The steering felt much lighter than the 535, but was very responsive. I think it had only a 6 speed automatic transmission. It felt faster in a straight line than the 535 but not as composed on the corners. It was not as quiet and the interior did not suit my tastes and neither did the exterior. For the money it was a bargain and a very capable car. Nothing like a Lincoln Town Car. I much prefer the 535 for its overall refinement, driving characteristics and looks. That's why I bought it.
