Software Update for NA Customers

Doe anyone know if BMW offers a do-it yourself software update process for the iDrive for customers in the US?

On some threads, there is a link to a BMW.COM link that requires you input your VIN. When I enter my VIN, it doesn't accept it past the 5th or 6th digit in the VIN leading me to believe that since mine is a NA vehicle, I can't download the update from bmw.com. Unfortunately, have not been able to find a similar link on bmwusa.com.

Any insights would be appreciated.

thx

Try entering the last 7 digits of your VIN.
