Looking into getting a winter setup for the coming months and was wondering if a 55 width tire would clear the wheel well without scraping.


i.e. 245 -55 -18 square setup . has anyone tried something like this ?

You mean 55 height

Are you lowered? What width and offset wheel are you running? I think traditionally speaking you would want a 45 series tires on an 18" wheel.

Thanks for the insight i didn't know what to call that size measurement .

I figured the thicker the smoother the ride would be in the ice cold conditions and the better overall traction.

No iam not lowered , currently running the stock Msport wheels.

245/45-18 is OEM tire size for F10/F11.

245/50-18 is 3.8% taller than OEM and will fit.
245/55-18 is 7.5% taller than OEM and will not fit.
