Does installing these DPs throw a "check engine" light?

Thanks

Catless? Yes. You need to use a CAN tool or a tune with a rear O2 delete. We offer flash tuning for the F10 as well.

Tune is $1299 for Stage 1, do not have dyno numbers yet! Gains on the X5M have been HUGE.

Is the DP truly fully bolt-on? This is an important question as I might be switching back and forth with the OEM DP, whenever I take the car to the dealer.

On the first page AR estimated 10hrs for install. This is a mod you're going to want to commit to, not take on and off for dealer visits...

How did you tune it without getting a car on the dyno???
So is it just a canned "shotgun" tune with no real on car measurements and "tuning"?

The reply to email was very slow, the tune situation is turning me off.
As of right now you have lost me as a customer until we start getting some better answers. Sucks for me, because I really really want to tune my car (DPs, ECU, etc).

How hard/long can it take you to get someone who has an F10 550i on your dyno and do a proper tune? Why is this all taking so long?
Get someone local to bring their car in and get work done.

You do have a very good point here, but I can't risk loosing warranty AND 100K Km free service (everything except replacing tyres) by getting those DP's. I can't think of another compromise other than not buying DP's.

Garage List
Okay, I'm going to ask this question, knowing that BOTH have a major impact on the sound of the exhaust. However, which has a great impact on the 550i (F10), when it comes to sound deadening? The cats or the exhaust? To me, the obvious answer would be the exhaust. However, knowing that the F10 is so quiet and having seen the stock cats in this thread, I just thought it might be worth asking. I'm no car expert, so please don't flame me too hard

So, which of the following statements would be true?

1) High flow cats and stock exhaust would be louder.
2) Stock cats and an upgraded exhaust would be louder.

Stock cats + aftermarket exhaust will be louder.
