Dinan Tune 2012 535xi

Has anyone heard concrete information about when Dinan will release software for the N55 535xi?

Concrete information about when Dinan will release a 535 tune? LOL That must be a joke, well that's what they are. They've been telling me and I'm sure others that they are working on it and one would be available soon for over two years now. Don't hold your breath. Just get a BMS tune and problem solved.

This! If Dinan hasn't know, it seems like it is very unlikely that they will. The BMS tune is a very effective way to add some HP to your car.

Just talked to Dinan. They are quoting a release in June/July 2014. Apparently they had a meeting with Steve Dinan last week, they are approved to proceed with the proposed design solution and are looking at delivering the software June/July this year.

Sounds good, but I'll only believe it when I see if on their site. I'm pretty sure they have given us false hope before, I wouldn't put my eggs in that basket just yet.

I'll look up JB. Have you had experience with them? And, does it have to be removed before the car goes in for scheduled maintenance?

yes many cars have been Running JB for years... and yes it has to be taken off which is a 15 minute deal.

I personally have BMS products but if RENNTECH dyno sheet holds truth I can't wait to see it in action.

Just talked to Dinan, they getting a F10 N55 in this week to test their Stage 1 tune. If it tests properly they should be able to announce shortly. If there are any issues with the wiring harness, it will take a week or two more to resolve. Note this solution is for the mechanical waste gate, the electronic waste gate solution is probably about a month behind. (Maybe less)

Did they tell you that they are working on tune (computer) or a piggyback like the BMS?

According to our local Dinan rep the new system is a combination of software and piggyback.
