Iphone 5 Airplay and Media cradle

Hi folks,

Wondering if any one managed to run iphone Airplay while mounted in the media cradle from BMW the one in the centre consol?
I just installed Bimmertech smartview to mirror my phone to the i-drive screen, it works up to the moment my phone is mounted to media cradle, the mirroring stops and switched to the Bimmertech logo screen.
Can iphone be set to keep Airplay on while plugged to the cradle?

Just in case someone will comes across this, Mirroring works as long as the Airplay is started after the phone is placed in the cradle, if before once the phone is placed in the cradle it disconnect.
