First BMW but second order as they lied about the new nav being installed in July build cars (remember that?) and I went pretty mad with the options.
Googled to death every last one.

Seems you can't have the MFID with the HUD.

So scrapped it and gone for 6WA (full black panel) instead.

Having Googled it I see that it depends on your sensitivity to reflections.

All my current vehicles (4 in all) have reflections, if you actively look for them in the windscreen so I don't think it will bother me.

Can't wait for the car!

I agree--all cars have reflections if you look for them. But why not just look through them? I think that folks have been making too big a deal about this. We get a lot of sun in Kona and this has NOT been a problem, even without polarized sunglasses.

+1 once you get used to HUD, there is no going back.

Turns out you can have the new multi function instrument display with the HUD.

I would double and triple check I tried to order the MFID and HUD on my F10 a couple of months back only to find you can't. At that time even the BMW car configurator allowed it, but in the end I found you can't (and i just checked the BMW website and if you select MFID it deselects HUD - but the configurator is often months behind reality). Even my dealer said no problem and it was only when I pushed back really hard that he checked directly with the F10 Product Managment team and was told you can't have both.

Things do change so I may be wrong, but I wouldn't want you to be disappointed.

I've done as much as I can (I think). It went something like this:

- Dealer tried to add HUD and MFID to order using their system, it removed the HUD.
- Dealer contacted BMW who said yuo can have it on 2013 cars but only from week 36+.
- Dealer forward dated the order to week 37 and tried to add HUD and MFID again using their system and it allowed it.

They've accepted the order so I guess I'll know when it arrives. Not the end of the world if i "just" get the full black panel instead. MFID is, after all, a nice to have.
