Anyone out there who has replaced run-flat tires with non-run-flat ones? I am looking to replace Michelin Primacy HP 245/40 front and 275/35 rear on a 535i with the sport package.

I did it with my previous car, a 335d with sport package. The Michelin PSS's seemed to do well enough, but the original RFT Bridgestones weren't half bad. Not a lot of difference between the two when they were nearly worn out. The PSS's were extremely smooth and nice when new, with great adhesion but a little too sensitive to steering input with regular driving.

Tire wear and alignment was one of the reasons I replaced that car with the 535d non-M sport. The standard "upgrade" 18" (compared to 17's on the 528i) all season Continental RFT's on it now seem pretty good including handling.

I got this kit for non-RFT's: It works great for regular inflation duties.

Lots of opinions. Everyone has one at least...

I changed the heavy expensive run flats long ago. Just make sure to keep a tire repair kit cause we don’t have a spare tire.

First thing I did was ditch the runflats! as suggested keep a portable airpump in the trunk (came standard in my E46 M3) and I have CAA roadside assistance too just incase

I bought one of these after seeing you post about it in a previous thread. Fits perfectly in the recess beneath the trunk floor. Haven't used it yet.

Great! My 535d has a cubby to the right when facing the trunk that fits it perfectly too (without the box)!

I've not used the fix-a-flat function (yet!) but it does say it's safe for tire pressure monitors etc. Its a German company so it may supply OEM stuff for all I know.

I got new tires about a year into having my car and it made the world of a difference. I had one some good year run-flats but then got Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ (Z Rating). The ride was much smoother and even more after I lowered the car.
