Spring problem?

I am planning to buy spring in one of the shop around my city. However, They said that it would be better if I change it to coilover rather than spring because it is going to reduce strut bar life. Is that true? how long have you been driving your car with the spring?
I can say that coil over is too pricey for me.

It is true that if you buy lowering springs your strut life will decrease. You are putting on a new spring that has different spring rates and are lower than the original springs. The struts were not designed to be used with a different spring. However, if you have decently low mileage on your 5 series then it is fine. How many miles are on your car?

right now is only 7000 miles, my car is only one and half a year. I don't always drive my car, I can say +- 900 miles per month.

You are perfectly fine with going with springs then. Anything over 40-50K miles I would say no to springs.
