BMS N63 JB4 Stage 2

I just picked up a 2010 550i GT and am looking to do a few slight mods. I spoke with a guy that works for one of the more well known reputable (ahem expensive) distributors of ECU's and he recommended to save my money and go with BMS.

A different friend of mine said try and find a company that has maps closet to Dinan as they have the best/safest maps but are not worth the 4k+ price tag.

Wondering if anyone has put a BMS Stage 2 on a 550i GT? Thoughts? Likes/dislikes? I also see quite a few people selling them to downgrade to Stage 1, thoughts? I'm all for more power but I also plan to keep the car in the family for quite a while so I don't want to run it too hard to a point.

Car is used as a 3rd car/grocery getter for me and the old lady here in SoCal. Only mod to date is a F10 M5 competition exhaust (picking up tonight), may do a cold air intake but not a huge fan of too much loud noise coming from the front of the car (too fast and furious for me) so I may just do a regular K&N in the airbox...
