Has anyone ran 1 inch taller tires?

Curious if anyone has ran one inch or taller tires... maybe to better fill the wheel wells or to get more rubber when increasing wheel size. If so, were there any adverse effects?

I know the speed is a couple mph faster at 60mph than the speedometer reads, but I am more curious to know if it effected the gas mileage or caused any rubbing issues.

Got to ask why? As the car's comfort/handling balance is designed around the wheel/tyre sizes and suspensions on offer.

From your other thread I'd keep with 17" and run the OEM sizes and get the maximum sidewall height, if that is what you are after.

Going for a higher aspect ratio... you may need to be the first to experiment...

Actually I found several other threads where others are using taller tires, some more than an inch. Although no one discussed gas mileage.

I am after getting more wheel for a better look, but at the same time trying to keep as much sidewall as possible with a softer tire.

Luigimaster24 is also running 21" with with 35 and 30 profile tires, but I can't find the pics now.

Not only are those 22's a full 1" taller tire than stock... they lowered the car as well.
