Finally getting on a dyno

Hey guys,

Just wanted to make a thread since I plan on dynoing the car this Sunday.

My setup currently is as follows:

550ix (N63)
badblack's intake (with some custom modifications)
Alpina turbos
Muffler delete
Jb4 beta w/ BCM (targeting 20psi)
~E35 for the fuel

We will see what she can put down!

Ha, I wish. Just hoping to get over 500awhp like the JB4 baseline since I'm adding the loss from the AWD system. And at Performance Solutions in Schaumburg. It's with a dyno day with some other people, so if the car isn't acting right I won't get to straighten it out. So knowing these cars I'll put down a nice 380 haha

I have been looking for a good performance shop around northwest suburbs... happen to be that i live 10 minutes away from this performance shop in schaumburg.

How do you feel about Performance Solutions?

I would, but since it is a group dyno they won't let me change any settings between runs

Until a new JB4 firmware comes out that controls the wastegate duty cycle with a PID loop I won't really be able to make consistent power anyways, so I have no clue what to expect but am probably going to be disappointed (boost numbers are just not consistent enough yet, adjustments are always needed)

Honestly, I don't know. I'm not having them do any work and just signed up through a group dyno day so I have never expirienced them before. What kind of work are you looking to have done, or just looking to have somewhere to go to in case?

I am thinking of getting pure stage 1/2 turbo installed, sway bars and charge pipe.
They said they do ecu flash as well, but im thinking about going with mission performance on that. They local literally 3 miles from me so its like they are right there vs sending the ecu to mission.

Would love to dyno as well! Let me know if you run into something. It would nice to see the difference between N63 RWD vs N63TU AWD on the same dyno.

We should plan a Chicago F10 owner dyno day sometime. Maybe early next year so we can make some changes over winter?

Last run you can and should do map4, who says you cant change maps via bluetooth takes only a second. We do this in all our Group Dyno Days
The only reason of a Dyno is to see your delta, as every car makes different power. Good luck

Subbed for results, hopefully you have a baseline run to compare it to

Couldn't get a baseline in, JB4 bluetooth wasn't working well

But I am very happy! Torque is pretty low, I was really under target in the low RPMs. Need to wait for a new JB4 firmware to fix that I think.

Thanks guys, map 7 runs.

Here's the actual chart from my best run.

With CF set to "UNCORRECTED" there is a -10HP difference. I left it as-is because that's what it seems everyone sets the correction factor to including Terry @ BMS and the shop that dynoed the car.

Regarding Performance solutions, they were a very nice group and have a very clean shop. I definitely would check them out if you're looking for options.
