I've also arranged for the car to have new car detailing done prior to delivery. BMW offer that supa guard stuff for £300 but I've heard some bad stuff about that. It's often applied badly either by some youngster at the dealer or they contract out to some company that are paid quite a small amount and so give a service accordingly.

When applied badly it can actually do more harm than good.

I'm paying £300 but for that price this guy is going to spend about 6-8 hours on the car, inside and out. I think on a black car it's a worthwhile investment. He has asked me to tell the dealer not to even wash the car, as they often cause swirl marks.

Very wise, I had that Dealer crap put on My M3 2010, The car had surface scratches all over the bonnet, the dealership had to pay for a full detail.
I got the 550i M sport detailed "Before" collection this time, it looked great.

Indus, I think your smart too. I have no knowledge of that product but I plan on doing a similar thing upon delivery.

I am arranging for the Swissvax Crystal Rock treatment, little cheaper then your treatment but not much. Guaranteed for 2 years and I have seen his shop and work. He is one of only 14 who are qualified to do it in Germany. With the CB I really wanted to be able to do a quick wash and wipe on a Saturday and it be like liquid finish. Over the course of 2 years I could easily pay well over 400 Euro for mediocre details at shops around town but stopped going and doing my own because they sucked. The Swissvax Crystal Rock will give me a great professional base to work off of.
