So got the full file and updated all the listed ECUs, took a little over an hour. (I had done NBT separately) Car drives a little different, seems comfort mode was dialed up some toward sport mode? Hope it does no change my fuel economy, I'm getting 23.6 MPGs in Atlanta traffic.

Airbag light is flashing but I recall reading this to be common after ECU flashing, searching for the info on how to clear it.

It is found on the flashing guide on page 12.

If coding ACSM, the airbag needs be locked. This can be done by using the following procedure (src:

E-Sys Transmitter:
1) Click "External Applications" in the left menu.
2) Click "External Application"
3) Double-click "Transmitter"
4) Double-click "ACSM verriegelung_schreiben"

Tool32 (Alternative to E-sys Transmitter for ACSM):
1) Launch C:\EDIABAS\Bin\TOOL32.EXE
2) Hit F3
3) Load C:\EDIABAS\Ecu\ACSM4.prg
4) In the "Select Job: F01" window, select steuern_verriegelung_schreiben
5) Hit F5
6) "Results" window should show "JOB_STATUS = OKAY"

Thanks for the info; I just tried the E-Sys Transmitter but didn't clear it. Tried both, ACSM verriegelung_schreiben and ACSM verriegelung_schreiben_new with no luck.

Any idea where to get TOOL32 ?

Was able to clear the error code but not sure if the airbag is locked, Job Status returns "ERROR_ECU_REQUEST_OUT_OF_RANGE"

I ran the following TOOL32 Jobs:

Clear Fault Codes:
Launch C:\EDIABAS\Bin\TOOL32.EXE
Hit F3
Load C:\EDIABAS\Ecu\F01.PRG
In the "Select Job: F01" window, select FS_LOESCHEN_FUNKTIONAL
Hit F5
Results" window should show "JOB_STATUS = OKAY"
Note: fs_lesen_funktional only read fault codes, FS_LOESCHEN_FUNKTIONAL will delete it.

Lock ACSM:
Launch C:\EDIABAS\Bin\TOOL32.EXE
Hit F3
Load C:\EDIABAS\Ecu\ACSM4.prg
In the "Select Job: F01" window, select steuern_verriegelung_schreiben (steuern_verriegelung_schreiben = control locking write)
Hit F5
Results" window should show "JOB_STATUS = OKAY"

Do you know if you flash programmed ACSM?

All ECUs were flashed to v.59.4

All show green when compared to that version. I'm getting Rheingold to run diagnostics. Airbag indicator is gone, car runs great.

With each ISTA-P release, there are not always updates for every ECU.

I am glad to read all dash faults are gone.

Hi Guys,
Just been reading through your forum and gathering info on coding for my f11 520d 2012. I've got the software and the cable and I followed the step by step guide but have a problem detecting the connection. When I click the ZGW_SEARCH.EXE it comes up with UDP_PEER error saying that some file may be missing and gives me the name of that file as MSWINSCK.OCX and this file is actually right above the .exe file so not sure why it says it is missing. Anyway, because of that I cannot proceed any further. Any ideas??? Anyone with similar problem????

You have way outdated software, and ZGW_Search is not required nor used. You need to remove it all and get the latest.

Damn. It just tells you how much I know about. I thought I was doing quiet well OK. Looking forward to hearing more about this. My E-Sys is 3.18.4 and psdzdata _47.5 - are those really way behind?

Latest E-sys is 3.28.1 and Psdzdata 3.60.4. But, you only need to update if your I-Step >= downloaded Psdzdata. If it is, you get "not found [C012]" errors when you attempt to "Read Coding Data."

If you are using Psdzdata >= v3.54.1, it is recommended to have latest Launcher for added stability, enhancements, and CAFD mapping.

Got it all installed. Just having an issue with the cable giving me an intermittent connection - must get a new one before attempting coding.

Out of curiosity - what is the worst case scenario if coding goes wrong?????

What if you ran out of juice whether in your car or a laptop during coding????

Normally, if connection to car is lost during an ECU Write operation, ECU becomes corrupt, but is recoverable. In rare cases, ECU actually becomes Bricked.

I've got the software installed successfully (forwarding the PC date for Esys Launcher Premium car select) and a cable and I'm able to connect so I'm good to go.

There are probably 10 or more mods I'd like to code eventually but I'm looking first for the specific code and step-by-step procedure to delete S5AP and enable the Euro anti-dazzle LED high beam function on my LCI 2014 F10. I've found code for Enable auto high beam default but not specifically for the anti-dazzle enable. Anyone have a link?
