Ouch some dyno runs cost $300 out there?? What a rip off.

Yeah the dyno run with a 1/4 mile sprint is $200. Since I wanted to do both tunes they said $300. I had to forego since it really is not that important to me and I dont have 300 bucks burning a hole in my pocket to justify doing this. Sorry guys.

When you look at the pictures of the link you listed below you will see that that technology is quite a bit older. Like our old Standard Module. The Pro2 and Ultimate are new developments, starting from the casing, plugs and future proofness. The Ultimate for example can be upgraded to a new vehicle in the future for a cost of $149. Even cross manufacturer/model.

On a personal note I think we need to find one of those dynos close to our office. We have a 550i F10 here at the moment. Usually our engineering is done in Germany though and Maha is the leader there in that space.
Yes the tech of the BMS tune looks old, but how can their tune control more parameters if it only taps into half of the sensors that the BMS tunes does.
Remaining skeptical as usual..

I can tell the 2 tunes are very different from the way they behave. Low end power and response in the BMS is bad while high end power is insane. This tune is very uniform. I cant say if it really is faster by much either way. I think that both tunes are great. I've had the BMS tune for almost a year with 0 issues. The one thing that I am starting to notice now that I have this tune installed for about a week is my gas mileage is way better now! my tank now lasts an average 60-80 km longer which is a plus. Mind you this is an observation over 2 fillings.

ok, so for the ones who are skeptical, why don't you get in on the group buy and if you don't like the performance, return the product. All you lose is the 20% restocking fee which is much cheaper than getting a Dyno test. I think that is a very fair offer by the seller who will stand behind their product. BurgerTune does not allow a returns at any cost.

To me installing the product and feeling it out for a cost of about $100 in case you don't like it is a no brainer. Paul is already offering us the product at a $100 +/- discount so why not try?

Closest place is 1.5 hr drive. Maybe I will but not in the immediate future. If someone (from Toronto) knows a place in the GTA please chime in.

Just to correct you. BMS does allow a 14 day satisfaction guarantee.. And they do not charge a restocking fee, its for a full refund..
Assumptions at its best.. .

i'm doing my best to stay positive but some ppl on here either:

A) work for them
b) drank the kool-aid
c) will buy anything anyone tells them to

this thing might be awesome. it might be everything we ever dreamed of, i just don't get why it's so darn hard to get one of the many ppl involved with it to post some real hardcore data.

i want it to be real; i want ppl to jump up and down shouting "I TOLD YOU SO!" because the more tunes at great prices there are the better it is for the all of us. even dinan will eventually have to check themselves and get back in line with reality.

I dont work for anyone. I certainly dont like kool-aid and I generally procrastinate when it comes to buying things to the point of remorse most of the times (since alot of good opportunities come and go here in this forum). I honestly cant tell you why I pulled the trigger on this one but I felt good about it. Like I said before I wish the dyno cost would have been reasonable then I would have taken it on but unfortunately it aint so. Hope someone in US can refute or back their claims. I am happy with my decision.

nothing against you esp if you were brave enough to get one. it just sucks that the only brave enough person to get one has a huge cost to get data.

i wish i were as brave as you so i could be the one that tests and posts the results.

if they were smart and/or confident then they would offer to sponsor someone or a dyno day. that would build buzz and show how confident they are that they can smash the competition for a fraction of the cost.

i shouldn't give away my awesome marketing ideas away for free like that.

We need facts, trap times and dyno runs are the only way.

Everything else is only feel, and I can't see how gas mileage has now increased exponentially as well!

I've asked him if they are willing to provide a "Loaner" for people to get their cars dyno'ed...

I'm with you MBA... I'm not part of them, no coolaid or none of that none sense. I'm just looking to get a product that I'll be happy with the performance at a reasonable price.

I'm almost at the point of forgetting about the group buy and just pull the trigger myself on the Ultimate.

I know when I drive my car around, the dsc rarely comes one unless i'm taking a corner and You said once you install the tune, it's doing it every time you punch it, that tells me a lot since BMS Stage 2 did not even do that for me...
