Jb4 setup

Hey guys so I just got my jb4 for my 2012 535i Xdrive.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to set it up
Where do I download maps from?
And where do I update the software.
I've seen 2 videos online ( weren't really that good)
But they used their hp laptops so I was curious
Can I use my mac?
I appreciate any help guys!

Set it up for ISO, cut the diode if it isn't already and load the firmware. You will need either the USB Cable or Bluetooth. If you use the bluetooth you can load the firmware right from your phone. You can run the JB4 Interface on your Mac and upload firmware and set it up on there as well.

Spend the extra $139 and get Bluetooth. Totally worth it. Though you do have to pay like $29 for the JB4 app...still worth it.

Side note. Need to vent about BMS. So buying the JB4 direct from BMS qualifies you for free shipping but if you add the $139 Bluetooth to your order they charge like $16 for shipping, even though both devices come in the exact same JB4 box. Ugh! That really rubbed me the wrong way, particularly since I had bought over $1,000 in BMS products that week. So I bought it from another vendor, which ships free (but direct from BMS..lol) and sadly has me questioning whether or not to sport the BMS sticker I bought with my cold air intake order.

Vent over. I feel better. Thank you.
