Just took delivery of 520d in Manila
It is time to replace the wife's e90 320i and while I had my heart set on a F30 328i, I was lured by trying out a the bigger 5 series. Given the high prices of cars over here. I can only afford the "entry level" 520d. This car cost me over 100K USD so imagine how much a 528i or even 535 would cost.
A few years ago, I told myself that I would never buy a 4 cylinder, moreso 2 liter 5 series but times have changed and technology has been kind to the humble 520d. The new F10 520 is no longer the snail it was once in it's past generations and I was happy with the performance that I chose the 520d over the 328i which cost the same. Since this is the wife's car, mods will be limited. Maybe some 19 or 20 inch wheels and possibly springs or KWs. Here she is right after delivery. Taken at the strip mall at the back of the dealership. Last edited by manilae90; 08-11-2012 at 12:08 PM.. Reason: Blurred face of daughter for privacy |

Nice! Yeah, the 20d is a fabulous unit! The 520d was in my scope too when looking for my new car to replace my E90 330d. The 525d was too but that would've been very little equipment. I do feel the F10/F11 are ever so slightly overpriced. Maybe not the car, but the optional extras are extortionate!
Anyway, that looks brilliant and I'm sure you'll enjoy it! I drove an F11 520d and I loved it! Whack some larger rims on it and you're good to go!

Wonder how much a 520d cost in scandinavia and uk? I mean fully loaded as malaysian specs are quite loaded with equipment.

This one is not fully loaded but it's not bare either. Ambient lighting, USB, Combox, leather, electric seats, Xenon. It has a so called Advantage Package which I haven't quite figured out what comes with it.
Tires are on order for some 19s so hope to put them on next week |
