Champagne & Chocolates - Courtesy of BMW UK
I had problems with my comfort access, and it took BMW over 2 months to source a new door handle and install it:
http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthre...ighlight=krell It turned out that the dealership placed the order in an old ordering system, and did not think to double check when the part never showed up. It was only after my wife put the parts manager under pressure that he investigated the problem properly and placed the order in the new system. Once the order was placed correctly, we had our car back in 4 days. Yesterday, I received a very apologetic letter from BMW UK, along with a large bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates! I think its because I gave them scathing feedback when I was called by someone from customer services. As annoying as the 2 month delay was, I was very impressed by the BMW UK response. The truth is, I didn't mind so much because I was given a nice 320d Coupe and 330d Touring (both M-Sport) as courtesy cars However, this was only after I was initially given a paltry 120i |

You have been treated in a way I have never been despite many many more serious faults. Consider yourself quite fortunate. I'm glad it turned out well for you in the end.

Last time I complained about the delay for parts and issues with my F30, BMW's response was "What would you like me to do about it?"
Consider yourself lucky. |
