What kind of glass does the iPhone 5 have?

I just got my 32GB iPhone 5 and was wondering what kind of glass it has that makes it so strong? I heard gorilla glass.

Same question here.
I heard something like 'Gorilla Glass II'

My ex 4 almost didn't have any scratches at all.

The back of the 5 is prone to getting more scratches than the 4. Be careful. I bought a transparent protection cover which looks a tad gayish(sorry don't know how to put it) imo which I didn't have with the 4 and that 4 still looks 90% after > 2 years of use(my kid has it now, spoiled forever LOL)

Cheers

And watch crystals.

iPhone 5 uses some form of Gorilla Glass. Corning and Apple have both been coy about publicly admitting this, but I think Corning did confirm it a while ago.

GSMArena does mention gorilla glass for the iPhone 5, but I'm not sure i its gorilla glass 2. That stuff is crazy strong though!

It is Gorilla Glass 2. Gorilla glass 2 is not any stronger than 1, but it is thinner and lighter. It does a pretty good job at being scratch resistant, but its main purpose is to be strong and not crack easily.

Glass is glass. What I mean is glass can be strong to direct hits, but if it somehow hits the ground at the perfect angle it will shatter/fracture. Do not drop the shit. The angle it drops is what makes the difference. Iphones are gay but I still don't want to see someone break their stuff. Android FTMW.

Oh and lots of phones use gorilla glass; in fact shit tons of them http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._Gorilla_Glass . Look how many of them.

Depends on the way the phone drops. If it drops face first or the screen hits a rock, its gonna break the glass.
