That's why they're making home theaters awesome now. Even 3D tv. Too many psychos out there.

i've been saying this for 4 years now.

screw going to the theaters - as long as you have a sick home theater in your house, you don't need to go to the theaters....

It's really a sad state of affairs... such an unfortunate incident.

They should let Bane loose on James Holmes.

Absolutely horrible to hear about that

I thought the movie was really really good.

Another a-hole goes AWOL and takes people down, yet this time, he actually suited up as if he wasn't going anywhere...just them...

For the next few weeks the media will run a stark correlation between him and the movie. He was, simply put, dressed like he was part of the movie. It's terrifying to imagine being trapped in a dark stadium style seating theatre while bullets fly over your head, and there's no escape. I shudder when I think of the many times I've gone to a sold out midnight premiere and how many excited elementary school aged faces I see. I weep.

(Edited to add): The strangest part of the entire story is the aspiring sports journalist, who herself survived an open shooting at a mall in Toronto merely weeks before, but was one of the victims that died, her last Tweet minutes before the nightmare began. How creepy of Death. Very "Final Destination".

This sucker will forever be remembered as the one who overshadowed Dark Knight Rises, and 'tis a very large shadow indeed...

BTW the movie is fantastic. I saw an advance press screening in NY earlier this week. I strongly recommend it. It's one for the record books in a lot of categories.

Gotta love what Nolan did to the comic series, and how he alone has set the canon for other superhero flicks to follow. Which none will. At least, for a long while.

Damn, i just watched that main video on cnn's front page. Its all the radio transmissions between police and dispatch. That was freaky, you can hear people in the background moaning and crying (assuming they were shot and still laying in the theater). Either way tragic and very sad. RIP to all the people who died

Really tragic. I feel for all the family members who lost someone. A simple movie opening, you really don't expect anything so terrible to happen.

Hans Zimmer produced the score for the movie, I'm really excited about that. All of his movie soundtracks are always epic. Got some tickets for Saturday showing.

Yeah the soundtrack is amazing. Really adds to the intensity in a lot of scenes.

I feel sorry for the victims in Colorado....

I saw the movie yesterday. Just ok.

At first I didn't know Anne Hathaway could be that sexy(I always saw her as a sweet girl next door/nerd/teacher schoolgirl type) but wow. She sitting on that bike. Sexy.

And why didn't they show the Aventador a bit more anyway?

Cheers
Robin

First off, R.I.P to all of the victims in Colorado. Truly disheartening to think of something like that happening while watching a movie..

Saw Batman opening night, they did an incredible job with Bane. Looked pretty intimidating. One thing i hated was that i couldn't underdstand what he was saying sometimes.

And wow did Anne H. look banging..

I agree it was hard to understand what he was saying at times. I think the movie was ok...In my opinion, the 2nd Batman with the joker was more entertaining.

My condolences to the victims and their families in Colorado too...

Great Movie. better than I expected especially with AnneH. and the kid from third rock. Anne did not do any crazy stunts and her fighting scenes were kept to a minimum. None of that fast paced camera shots that makes you dizzy to hide the lack of ability from the actors. Can't wait for the next one and the Man of steel.

Meh.. No way as good as the first 2 Batman. I felt 3/4 of the movie focused on Bain while only 25% on Batman.

Opened at Midnight here in Germany.. it was such a great movie... everyone will have their own opinions, but I thought it was one of the best movies I have ever seen.

Meh... I think it didn't live up to the hype.

Fight scenes were slow. This isn't real life and the directors had their cinematic arsenal of tricks to make the fight scenes more real-time but no... They did NOT do a good job.

Story was rubbish. The concept of an inner-city coup needed more setup to preface the takeover. Also... The escape from the pit was too anti-climatic.

CGI was too fast. Bat plane flew at a rate of speed inexplicable by physics. Slow it down to deliver a more believable experience.

Anne Hathaway... Still delivering cheesy, hastily-timed one-liners. Might fool the average movie-goer but not me. She's a good actress but her dialogue timing in this movie was just a bit rushed, like she was eager to leave the movie set and go home.

Good movie but not an excellent one. Its magnitude can not be ignored. Still, a slight let-down for me. Probably a 7.5.
