Question 331 or 351 for my F11 Msport?

Guys, my car came with 18s (winters) and now time for summer rims-tyres.

I wanna keep the OEM look so while boring to some, and not going with 20s (its an xdrive, its sits high, Im not putting 20s on it) - I wonder which style suits the car more.

Top is my car now, middle is 331 and bottom is 351. I can buy used 331s or a bit cheaper buy new Italian produced 351 reps. Thats kinda the choice. Thoughts? Which should I get?

Im leaning to 351s btw... BUt may be 331s are a good looking rims too on Msport and more unique since usually you see them on non-Msport cars. 351s are dime a dozen.

PS. last pic is blurry, from phone upload and forum cant resize properly it seems

I like the 331, much more unique than the 351.

May I suggest style 302 wheels from 5 Series GT.

A square 8.5x19" ET25 with 255/40-19 tires will fit your F11 perfect!

If you really like to stay with OEM tire size 245/40-19 will work as well.

While more common, I still prefer the 351s. Much sportier in my opinion, the 331s do nothing for me

+1

while I haven't looked, you may have a few more choices for tires in 18" and may save a few pennies in the process

331s painted ferric gray. i have the 331s on my f10 and they look huge in person for a 19. One thing to note is that they are heavy.

Thanks for the tip. Im going staggared setup and tyres already purchased (245-40 and 275-35). Leaning towards 351Ms but as others said the 331s in ferric grey do look good as well and I am entertaining grey rims idea.

Roads are not good enough to allow 21s nor my budget for repairing rims and tyres a lot. And again, it always strikes me as crazy when you guys are given the 5GT but not the F11. Bmw should have made a shooting break out of 5 series rather than push the 5GT. THat would have sold hot.

where are you based? I have a set of 351s 245s all around (important for F11) to sell. Am in Austria and could ship them across europe.

They are good year runflats. Good thread left. Let me know if you are interested.

You know I looked up the weights, the 331s weigh 16kg per corner, yikes. And I thought 351s were heavy.

Also considering to pickup reps but always bothered by reps even Italy made in case sizes are big. BMW OEMs seem sturdier but this is so sobjective as everyone who sells reps swears by them while others say OEM only and thats that. Thanks for your input.

I've had reps, too many problems with cracking and denting. If you can get some OEM M wheels, 437m for example from an M3/M4 or even style 343m from a M5 (these are 20") they are super light in comparison to 351s and 331s.

Ive been now also edged towards a square setup as the 8.5-19 and 9-19 setup from non xdrive will supposedly cause issues in a transfer case down the road, even though the circumference was only 0.2% off? Apparently as wear and tear sets on and you say wear rears faster the difference in diamater starts to mess up the case. So to be safer I need some 8.5x19 square setup which now makes it even trickier.

as with my car, ditch the chrome side marker (IND). The black side marker makes the entire side look so much better; especially since you have the shadowline trim.

I voted for the 351 or your current set up - however, now on reflection you might look at the 19" La. V-spoke style 366. When I bought my car more than one person in the room told me they are their favorites in the 19" category (of course they MAY have said that because I was in the process of buying a car from them.....)

I cant seem to find the blank side markers - I have the LCI and all the black markers for sale are for pre-lci....

your 19s 366s - are they staggered or square?
