Plasti Dip vs Vinyl Wrap on window trim

Hey guys I know that this has been discussed before but I was just wondering if I could get some input from you guys before I decide on which one I want to do. I mostly want to know how the finish comes out from Plasti dip up close and how durable it is after a year or so, I've heard that if its not done properly it will start to peel. And for people that have done vinyl wraps, does it end up shrinking due to heat? Summer is coming up so these are two of my concerns. Let me know your inputs.

I think wrap would look better.

Im thinking the finish on the wrap would also look better than dip

Bring them to a paint and body shop and have the professionally paint them.

I have a buddy that can do that for you and I also have someone to wrap them for you.

Perfect Color in Anaheim. Ask for Enrique

Best Image Solution in Westmenster. Ask for Thanh

I just recently had mine wrapped in 3M vinyl gloss black. Not sure if this is true, but from what they were telling me at the shop, painting costs quite a bit more and peels over time. The wrap supposedly lasts at least a few years. To give you a general price range, I got mine done in addition to the carbon fiber door handle inserts for $250 here in Minneapolis with a lifetime warranty.

on my E46 I removed the trim and used self etching primer and several coats of the SEM Trim paint, and then a few coats of matte clear coat and it looked great for 5+ years.

I used plasti-dip to paint the steering wheel trim on my E90 M-sport wheel and I really don't like the "tackiness" of it compared to the SEM Trim paint

On my previous Audi A4 I had plasti dip alloy wheels with glossifer. The wheels are probably the worst place to put plasti dip, high temperatures, stone chips and tar/dust - HOWEVER it completely stood the test of time and was extremely durable. I would recommend plasti dip to anyone, do not worry about chips or peeling, it is very rare unless you rushed the dip process.

Considerably cheaper and if you don't like it, peel it. Great product!

If plasti dip is done probably it looks just as good as the wrap (a wrap done properly too) , you also cannot beat the price of Plasti Dip

In order for it to look stock it needs to be high gloss, so I suggest wrap.

Can you not remote the existing trim and replace it with OEM trim, just like it would come from the factory?

I had mine wrapped matte black to match the pillars and it came out great. I'm very happy with the result and it was much cheaper than painting. I had them plasti dipped first and I wasn't happy with the look so I removed it. Here's a pic of the wrapped look.
