My 2013 535xi Build - How does this look?

Hi guys,

Getting very close to put my order in at my Bmw dealership. I've been waiting for months to the 2013 info to come out! Coming from a 2009 Msport 335 the F10 should be a huge upgrade in terms of comfort and luxury.

So far this is what my build is going to look like:

2013 535Xi - $55,400
Space Grey Metallic - $550
Black Nappa Leather - $1,000
Aluminum Hexagon Trim - NC
ZCW Cold Weather Package - $950
ZMP M Sports Package - $2,900
ZPP Premium Package - $1,500
ZTP Technology Package - $2,800
Dynamic Damper Control - $1,000
Sports Transmission - $500
Rear View Camera - $400
Multi-Contour Seats - $1,300
Park Distance Control - $750
Premium HiFi System - $875

MSRP comes out to $69,925 according to the documents posted by Jason and surprisingly 2K cheaper than what my 2012 build looked like. The only two options that I am on the fence about is the Soft close doors and Ceramic controls. Not sure if Nappa is also the best idea since I am also expecting a baby girl in a few months but it looks/feels so much more rich compared to dakota leather. Just want to make sure i'm not leaving out something critical on my build!

Thanks!
Alan

Alan,

At work on phone so I'll be brief.. have you talked to your dealer about pricing yet? Where are you (FL by chance?)?

looks great, zmp ftw! ceramic controls > soft close. n even tho both r pointless, soft close is a waste imo.
plus u can always retrofit either, altho i'm pretty sure ceramic controls will cost more 2 do so.

Did you decide you'd rather have the extra $750 on something else rather than getting the top/side view cameras & blind spot assist you'd get with the driver assist pkg.(ZDA)?

Here's my current 528i Build.

2013 528i Pricing

40850 ED Invoice (My estimate; all options at 9% off)
1729 ZDA Driver Assistance (Cameras, PDC, Blind Spot)
2639 ZMP M Sport Pkg.
2366 ZPP Premium (Leather, CA, Power Tailgate, Satellite)
2548 ZTP Tech PKG. (Nav, HUD, Apps, MFD)
455 2TB Sport auto w/ paddleshift
455 494 Heated front seats
895 Destination
51937 Total Cost estimate before dealer profit

I may as well throw my build sheet into the mix: http://db.tt/JjQLTMee

Only thing I'm questioning is whether or not I actually should be paying an additional $1,000 for "Electric Damping Control" if I'm already getting the $3,500 "Dynamic Handling Package" which includes "Dynamic Damper Control." Anyone know?

Just came back from my dealer to place my order!!

Final specs

2013 535Xi - $55,400
Space Grey Metallic - $550
Black Nappa Leather - $1,000
Aluminum Hexagon Trim - NC
ZCW Cold Weather Package - $950
ZMP M Sports Package - $2,900
ZPP Premium Package - $1,500
ZTP Technology Package - $2,800
Dynamic Damper Control - $1,000
Sports Transmission - $500
Rear View Camera - $400
Multi-Contour Seats - $1,300
Park Distance Control - $750
Premium HiFi System - $875
Soft Close Doors - $600

I ended up adding the soft close doors after playing around at my dealer for nearly an hour with cars that didn't have it and ones that did. I did notice the F10 doors seems to feel more hollow and light compared to older bmw. Lacks the solid thump (bank vault) I am use to in previous bmws so opted for the soft close doors. That plus this should come in handy with not waking up my newborn that is on the way

According to the dealers computer all 2013 order won't go into production until July for mid august delivery.

Also the document posted here by Jason is 100% legit. My dealer's computer printed out the same exact document with the same prices/option packages.

Not sure where you are seeing "Electric Damping Control" but this isn't one of the options on the spec sheets. There is the "Dynamic Damper Control" which is either a standalone option for 1K or it is part of the "Dynamic Handling Package". If you are getting DHP then you don't need to check off the standalone DDC option for $1K. It is the same because if you look at the docs posted by Jason the DDC 223 option's description also says "included in package"

I went with just the DDC since i didn't need the ARS which comes with the DHP for $3500. My 535xi would have been getting way too close to 75K or i should say well optioned 550 range.

Hope that helps.

Alan,

I'm currently having my mind blown right now when I look at the 550 vs. M5 numbers. Check out my spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...0U4b3pFUHQtSFE

^^ lol

I'd love to get a M5 but that $1400 per month payment is scary with a new baby on the way for me

My plan is to slowly break the wife in with getting use to seeing higher and higher car payments so i can eventually get a M5 down the road and the payment wouldn't be such a shocker anymore lol

Soft Close Doors

Why is SCD not an option or in a package on 535i or xi when I build the car on BMW's website?

Soft Close doors only became a standalone option on the 2013 F10's. The Bmw website still has the 2012's up.

Alan, so you didn't get the Executive Package? I think it's kinda lame that if one wants the Comfort Access, they have to get that expensive package and having had comfort access, I can't go back.

For the 535 i can get the comfort access with the premium package. The 550's have to get the executive package. My e90 has the CA and once you have it you can't go back!

Status 152 Paint shop today! The car is suppose to be completed by today.

Has anyone been able to track their 2013 F10 on the bmwusa.com website under MyBMW? Once i add my F10 to my vehicle list it causes my account to freeze up.
