I've been using the JB4 in my car for little over a year and never had an issue with the dealer. I always remove it before I take the car to the dealer. Also, I have the tools needed for the JB4 removal in my car AT ALL TIMES, just so I can remove it something happens on the road and the car needs to be towed to the dealer.

8 mm socket? possibly flathead.

I've had no problems either, you won't lose warranty. It's definitely worth the money for the benefits though.

10mm socket for the + battery nut, torx for the ground cable and my trusted swiss army knife to cut the tie wraps. I also have the torx and the flat tip screw driver to also install the air filter cover since I have the BMS intake.

Good to hear. So you went straight to the JB4 without trying the Stage 1, right?

Also, does the disconnection of the T-tapped wires cause wear that could eventually cause issues or permanent damage?

OP, I am in the DFW as well 👍

I don't think so. I wrapped electrical tape around my wires when I removed my JB4.
