Thicker Steering Wheel

I'm sure this a huge, expensive issue but I do miss the "thicker" steering wheel that would have come with the Sport package.

Any idea how difficult/expensive this would be ? Yes, I have a heated steering wheel as well.

Are you talking about retrofitting the M-sport package steering wheel? If so, I asked my parts guy and the airbag part number is the same for the Sport and M-sport wheels. This means the steering wheels should be swappable. I'm waiting for someone to actually retrofit it. My days of experimenting with brand new cars are over!

depends on if you have sport package. if yes, it's just a steering swap. if not, new airbag = $$$.

here's link for sport steering without paddle.

Shame you're not in the UK as I'd gladly swap wheels; I find the M Sport rim too thick and much prefer the standard one.

It's a nice wheel and all, but it's not the M-Sport steering wheel. This is the steering wheel off a sport with no SAT (sport automatic transmission). This shows me that the seller doesn't know what he has and therefore cannot guarantee that his wheel will fit all the cars listed.

looks like M-sport to me, with thumb rest. maybe came off a M-sports car with manual. although the chrome part is usually black for M-sport car...

It's not an M sport... I don't really care about that. But my car has the cold weather package, so it would need to have the heating element

well looks just like my car I was wondering why that e-bay item has thicker wheel+thumbrest but not the m-sport trim piece below the airbag. and that ebay one prolly don't have steering wheel heater, which mean OP's gonna either give that up, or pay about $1600. that's a big ouch. miss the old E90s with $300 steering wheels...

I've heard of DCT motorsports. I know they work on european cars. Look them up. I'm not affiliated with them in anyway, so do your homework.

As do I... but along with the expense of the Sport Package, I didn't wan Summer/Low Profile again. Also, couldn't changing the steering wheel void the Warranty ??
