550i - M5 Exhaust Question

I currently own a 2011 550i w/6 speed manual trans. As you may already know, exhaust system choices for this car is very slim. My question is will a 2013 M5 exhaust system work on my car. I do know that the piping is larger on the M5 and would require additional work to adapt from the 550i's smaller diameter to the M5's larger diameter piping at the down pipes. I have found several companies that manufacture complete systems for the 2013+ M5, so I am considering ordering one of those systems and modifying it to adapt to my 550i. Of course I know that the rear diffuser will need to be replaced with an M5 diffuser. Has anyone done this or can confirm that everything should line up?

Thanks in advance!

As mentioned above it fits.
It would also be a good idea to check out the AA 550i exhaust.

I'm about to install my M5 Competition exhaust on 550i, a crossmember is highly recommended to eliminate drone. Just wondering how much did it cost you for the labor DesiRacing?

M5 exhaust pipe is 3in and you can slip on the 2 3/4in OEM 550 pipe. You don't need to change the diffuser unless you like it and have the bucks. If u really need more sound you can go ahead for muffler delete and wake up all your neighbors.
