550i xdrive steering

Many apologies if another thread covered this, I did do a search earlier and didn't find what I was looking for.
Just curious if the 550i xdrive (2011 is one I'm researching) has the vague steering that people speak of? Bc it kept the hydraulic steering being an xdrive, did it retain the driving feel or did they revamp the hydraulic steering for the F10 and it suffered too? I also read that Active Steering isn't an option on the xdrives. Is there something comparable that gives the steering weight? I have it on my 07 335i and love it. The one I have my eye on has the Dynamic Handling Pkg, which is a definite for me, but unfortunately not the m sport. I just haven't had the time to go check it out yet, and trying to get a little info before I do.

I have a 2013 535xi - hydraulic steering, and it is still numb. It's not the end of the world - the car handles great. The only problem is that the steering is not what I was used to with my E39, and does feel isolated from the road. All else is 10/10. Try the 2011 that you are considering before you judge.
