I have just bought a BMW 535d F10 and i have an iphone4. How do I get the car to display my album art?

If your F10 is built after Sep 2010, then you simply plug your iPhone with the original Apple white USB cable into the center console USB. That's it, the album art should be displayed automatically. If you want a large album art display, use split screen, and with split screen set to "Entertainment Info".

also if you have albums in your itunes collection with no album art here is how you do;
1. first indentify the album with no album art
2. second go to amazon or google the album copy album cover
3. go back to itunes right click on album with no album cover; highlight get info; once this comes up album info comes up with a box on screen for album art paste album art into box; once this is done you will see album info sync to album art.

I use amazon to get all my covers; because they are all great quality and everything you are looking for can be found there.

I have a new 525D. First I had covers, but later they disappeared. Not in the IPOD - they are still here - but not shown on the screen in the car.

Are there any way that I can enable the cover art again??

Hi, how do you find out the build date? - mine was in the UK in November but not delivered until Jan.

Secondly can somebody photograph the glovebox connector for the iphone please?

Pop your bonnet and theres a sticker on the underside with build date on it...

As far as im aware the glovebox USB connector is for system updates/storing music onto the hard drive and im sure the manual says not to connect iphone/ipod to it ???

I only seem to have an aux in in the centre armrest and a strange phone connection?

Only 3 sizes:

1) With Split screen and somethng else...like Nav system, small Album artwork.
2) With Full screen on entertainment...larger Album artwork.
3) With Split screen and entertainment details on the right half.....wait a few seconds after the songs details....and largest Album artwork will pop up.

I don't beleive there are any other ways to manipulate the artwork.

The USB in the armrest console was an option - £75 if I recall. I believe it is now strandard since January 2011 builds. I didn't get it either but almost wish I did now - not really too bothered though.

Music can be played via blutooth from iPhone but don't know if pictures appear.

Just looked back in my notes from ordering the car. The option at the time was 6NF - Telephone USB Audio Interface (£70) which would do album art and a bit more. This is the step up from 6FL - USB Audio Interface.

The new tricks coming up with an iPhone - Twitter, Facebook, etc on the iDrive - needs 6NR which I've read is available from March 2011. The NEW iPhone App has also just hit the Marketplace. It's called 'BMW Connect'. Thought I'd have a go but it wouldn't download - not compatible with my hand-me-down iPhone 3G. So it seems I've missed the boat on album art without the 6NF and we've all missed it for the newest update. That's progress! (and I won't be losing sleep over it).

While reading a few posts from 2008/9 when 6NF was replacing 6FL, they were talking of frustration of missing the 'latest' too. I think the only way is to get a new car every 6 months!!
