Recall for F07 Left Rear Air Suspension
Hey GT lovers...I was doing a project on my GT which required access to BMWTIS.com - in the process, I noticed that there is a current recall to replace the left rear air suspension on my VIN. I called my local dealer and they confirmed it will be done when I can bring it in. SA says it takes about 1/2 a day, perhaps less. The bags are being ruptured on the left side somehow, so he says...hope they've updaed the design so I don't have to do it again. Check with your local dealer to see if your GT is affected. This also impacts F11's so Europeans should check theirs too.

Hello,
Recently my fathers 535xd had a loose air suspension. Also left. But service sayed nothing about that, that this had a recall. It is being replaced second time allready.. Do you have any issues about that? P.s. fathers bmw has over 220'000 km (136k miles) |

Interesting, My GT is in at BMW at the moment, my rear left air bag was going up and down to the point of it could not be driven,
it was recovered and dropped of at my local BMW and its a 5 to 6 week waiting list as the part is on back order |

Only in the US0fA
Apparently this issue is NOT a recall in the UK, I tried to argue the issue with my BMW dealer and I also mentioned that it was in the US and other country's but it fell on deaf ear's... Its a good thing that I have the extended BMW Warranty with the car. |
