Harmon Kardon code 688 sound system

Just picked up my 2015 535D Xdrive with HK sound system, code 688. It calls for 16 speakers , I can only locate 11 speakers??? Can anyone cnfm code 688?

688 is correct for 2014 models and up; prior years had Code 677.
There are 16 speakers in 11 locations. A number are doubled up in the same space behind the same grill.

My 2012 has the following and confirmed from info I found 4 years ago.

1) Tweeter, front centre and Mid-range speaker, front centre under one grill=2
2) Tweeter, front right door=1
3) Mid-range speaker, front right door=1
4) Woofer, under front right seat=1
5) Mid-range speaker, rear right door and Tweeter right rear door=2
6) Mid-range speaker, rear window shelf, right and Tweeter, rear window shelf right=2

7) Tweeter, rear window shelf left and Mid-range speaker, rear window shelf, left=2
8) Tweeter, rear left door and Mid-range speaker, rear left door=2
9) Woofer, under left front seat=1
10) Mid-range speaker, front left door=1
11) Tweeter, front left door=1

I assume that the info would be correct for 2015s.

The tweeter grill should have a Harman Kardon sticker.

In 2012, this was not the case. There was no indication of any speaker name. I believe it was changed (as noted) in 2014.

Yes, i know. The LCI got the 688 instead of the 677.

BO system here in CDA is an additional 5000.00 CDN extra, not worth it

No, the HK is the middle option between the Base HiFi and the B&O.

No, it replaced the 677 HiFi Professional Logic 7 system.

Here in Europe the 676 HiFi system is actually an option, so the car has an even simpler base system where there's no treble at the mirrormount on the door.

So we can upgrade to 676, 688 or 6F2 (B&O).
