2011 550i HUD colours

Just a question. Anyone have my year F10 (04/10) have full colour in the HUD, or is it mostly orange all the time? Day and night.
The only colour i see different is the Green for the Cruise control digits and symbol.

Do you have CIC or NBT? If you have NBT, flash NBT, KOMBI, and HUD to 53.4 or 53.5 and code HU_NBT > HMI 3000 Junction_View_HUD from nicht_aktiv to aktiv.

My 11/12 build HUD is white during daylight hours and amber at night. Multi color when using NAV.

I know my parent's 2013 X5 has an amber-only illuminating HUD.

Same as Quicksilv3r for me. My 11 build HUD is white during day, and amber once the headlights are on. Multi-color display when using NAV.

I thought all F10's were full colour.
I think I'm right in saying the E60's had a mono colour system that used filters to make it appear with different colours (ie you never see a different colour in the same location on the display)

I have seen somewhere that the threshold of when the display (KOMBI) changes to night mode can be set. So you can for example configure so it never enters night mode and stays white all of the time (I think the M5 does that)

Can you supply a picture?
Also you can run the diagnostics for the system as well, just hold down the HUD on / off button for 10-15 seconds or so and then just press it to change through the various test screens. (About a dozen or so). Hold the button to get out of that mode.

Thanks, did what you said. I see all kinds of colours but white! lol first it does a bunch of colours solid, then does grids, and different patterns. Then it shows samples of the NAV, Speed signs, speedometer, cruise etc.
I'll take some pics tomorrow. (feeling lazy right now).
I guess my production date is just before they had the white in the HUD.
