I tried unscrewing the oil filter cap with my hands, but even with daily golf grip training for years i am still at least 20% torque short, no kung fu grip for me

the oil cap as a rubber seal so it is imposable to undo it with bare hands. you need to the that tool to undo it.
I just let AK change the oil only cost $180 for laber

This will look good with alum trim.. but i was also planning to DIY a completely new steering wheel with polished alum +oyster leather .. hmm choices. Actually to be honest I don't think i will ever get that done..
