Boot compartment

Can anyone tell me what the huge deep hole is at the right hand side of the boot is for? I don't mean the compartment under the floor - the one at the side. Thanks.

I use it for storage too. The bottom is some kind of foam so storing sharp objects pointed downwards may damage the foam over time.

Yeah - I use it just for generic storage, carrier bags for wellies, umbrella, etc. .... all the essentials for my high rolling lifestyle

That's what I'm thinking, but having said that I'm interested in seeing where it exists (probably where the plasic insert is that holds the oil bag???).

I believe it's specifically designed for laptops, handbags etc.

Well hey, you know, we have handbags and laptops in North America too.

In fact, I do believe that the laptop was invented in the USA, and if I'm not mistaken, the handbag was invented in Canada. Both are assembled in Mexico, so there you go!

Unfortunately the first laptop that was smaller than a shopping cart was an Epson and therefore Japanese.

Handbags were invested by the ancient Egyptians!

These days all of these are made in China or Taiwan IMHO.
