All of you have been lucky.
I got a Kia as loaner. I refused the sardine can. I was then given a GM Malibu. (That was the absolute worst loaner I had been given) |

I dropped my 550i off today at the dealer and got a Mini Cooper decked out to the 9's. I really apologize in advance if I step on someones toes but damn what a turd. Who buys these things? I feel like I am in a go cart with gimmicks.

Loaner...we're supposed to get a loaner? Gee, my dealer advertises they have limo serverce from door to door...ya, "limo" is slang for public transportation. But seriously, with Otto's BMW if you book far enough in advance they will supply you with a loaner, usually a 3er. However, if you have an unforeseen problem and need servicing right away, you're stuck with their shuttle service. Overnight unforeseen repairs and you're on your own.

What's the big deal! When I had a new 7 series I would get a 5 or 3 series loaner. It helped me figure out that the best BMWs were the smaller ones. I bought an e46 M3 after that and it's been the best car I've ever owned, and it rarely needs to go to the dealer for anything.

I recently got a 5 Series (2010) loaner for a week after telling them that I'd consider it a "test drive" if they gave me one.

There is a dealer in my area that gave a friend of mine a Hyundai Sonata when he took his BMW in...
My dealership gives E90's , Mini Coopers and they have an X3.

This was Cunningham BMW, now known as South bay BMW in San Diego. If they only knew how many customers they lost just from that one incident.

I had emergency work done on my 325i E92 a couple of years ago. They had no loaner cars available and I was stuck at the other end of the country from where I needed to me. So they kindly loaned me the parts guy's Daewoo Matiz (these days called the Chevrolet Aveo).
What a load of c@@p that car was. It was even worse than my 1980 Fiat 127. I can remember driving that Daewoo on the M6 motorway at 70mph and it still brings me out in a sweat!
