Dark Graphite not available with MSport?

Has anyone else noticed that the online builder doesn't allow to build an MSport in Dark Graphite. Is this intentional?

I noticed that as well. It looks like it's only available in the luxury line. I'm selling my Dark Graphite 550i M-sport.

I have a new 535 MSport on order for delivery in Munich in May. Per my dealer, Feb. was the end of dark graphite for the 535 WITH Msport. Effective with March 15th builds onward, Mineral Grey is offered for the MSport, and is the color I have chosen. I have a production number, and a production spec sheet that indeed shows the mineral grey. Color options appear to have everything to do with the lines that you are building.

Also,Mediterranean Blue is being offered now as well, replacing the other imperial blue, at least on the MSport.

Imperial Blue is also unfortunately not available on the M Sports as well.

That's really interesting. Any thoughts on the color differences between Dark Graphite and Mineral Grey? Mineral Grey looks a shade or two lighter. I've been choosing between dark graphite and carbon black but Mineral Grey changes things.

In my opinion, Mineral Grey appears to be a couple of shades lighter, but still dark enough to look classy. And it hides dirt as well, and a lot easier to cleanup than black, which I have had before. I was actually going to order the Dark Graphite, but was really happy to find out that Mineral Grey was replacing it. My current 535 is a 2010, and it has Platinum Grey, which I think looks very close to the Mineral Grey.

I am thinking the same thing. I have been choosing between Carbon Blk and Dark Graphite but Mineral Grey will contrast the Msport features nicely too. Especially with black grills and a carbon fiber spoiler. Please post pics once delivered.

Quick update ... i pulled the trigger on a 550xi in Dark Graphite. I love the way the color looks in the sun. CF Spoiler and Dark grills make all the difference. Couldn't be happier. Totally recommend Jimmy Jones at Paul Miller BMW in Wayne NJ if anyone is looking.

Has this changed again or did Mineral Gray never show up as a replacement in the "build your own" tool? I just tried both a 535xi m sport and 550xi m sport and both show only space gray as available with m sport, dark graphite available for non-m-sport, and no mineral gray for any line. Was this changed again, or did those of you that got MG have to have your dealer put the order in that way, but it didn't show online?

Also, +1 on MG being a shade or two lighter, but still a nice deep gray. I almost got it on my 335 but stuck with BSM. Both MG and DG are both great looking colors. Strong and elegant at the same time..

May 12th, we picked up a mineral grey 535 M Sport at the Welt in Munich with European Delivery. The build your own tool on BMW.com is woefully behind. The mineral grey looks very much like our current platinum grey on our 2010 e60. The F10 looks great in Mineral Grey.

This is fantastic news, thank you. It was a tough choice on my F30, really loved both colors, so would love it on the F10. Beautiful color.

Interesting, I am looking at a 528i that is Graphite and has the M Sport. It also has the Nappa Brown / Black combo interior and looks VERY sharp. Didn't know this combo was basically discontinued though. Must just be that the car was built several months ago?

You can figure out the production date with a VIN decoder. Mine was one of the last Dark Graphites. Built in late Jan, picked up in March. http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html
