I didn't own it, but that was one that I liked quite a bit, seemed really well put together and although not "crazy" fast, it was lots of fun to drive. Wish our cars would have the same steering feel thought... oh well, can't win them all.

It was a great car, very fun to drive, and in my humble opinion, one of the best looking E46 variants. Here is a quick cell phone pic of mine.

That is the e46 I was refering to at #18. I still have my 2004 330i ZHP for trackdays and auto-x. I just don't get to drive it much beyond that anymore.

A big Bimmer was always a goal. I initially (like everyone) wanted an E92 M3, but when I actually drove the car and spent time in the chassis, I felt too cramped even though it was amazing on road.
Minutes after I got into the F10 platform I was hooked. Everything was just so much nicer, and then I found out they made one with a badass TTV8, it was an easy choice after that.

I do like the new M-Sport X5 platform, but I wouldn't swap with my 550, even with the same engine.

So what...7 series the next car to get into if after the 5 series if you're planning on staying in the BMW family? I sat next to one today and thought...what a big boat!

Recently married. looking to start a family soon. When I was starting to look for cars, i was originally considering a F30. I found one in my price range with every package I wanted. Drove it. Loved it, but alas needed more space. Found an F10 without MSport (Really important that I have that) but the price was great and ended up purchasing it. Had an Msport front bumper on the way before the car was in my posession for 2 days. Needless to say the wife isnt happy I have another money pit.

My 328i lease was up and I wanted a car with a nicer interior, but without using much more petrol.

The frame is the same as the F10 cars, it's just a bit longer.

Honestly, I thought they would feel too big and floaty but the managing partner for the firm I used to work at had a 750i and it was actually a lot more enjoyable than I figured it would be (he let me take it out once).
It didn't feel a ton bigger than my F10, and the power delivery was all there but in a more subtle way. I imagine that's how people describe power from Bentley/Rolls in those giant saloons with 600+hp.
I wouldn't be against getting a 7 eventually but with how good the 5 Series is right now, unless they totally much it up, no need to switch.

Maybe if I'm looking for just a luxury car and not a performance car I might? But who knows what will happen down the line? It does look like a bigger car tho

I actually was looking for a F30 335xi with M Sports Package although prerfferd the luxury and interior of the F10. I just assumed that I couldn't afford a F10.

Being that I could not find a F30 on demo or slightly used, I started looking at the F10. The prices were too high, well so I thought. The sale guy at the dealership gave me a good deal on a demo, and I figured - since i can find that F30 I want - let me go get the F10.

That's my story!

Well, I had the 3er which I loved, and what converted me to a BMW guy for life. So as I matured (ahem...), the 5er was the natural choice. Onto the 7 in a few years!

Always wanted to get back in the Bmw family since my e60. Had to get rid of it because of issues going on. Always said I would get one back. Bought a m37 beg of this year, but it continuously lets me down. Just got a great deal on a 12 550i.

My fiancés son bought her a 05 525i as a gift for all the cars he ruined of hers during his younger years. After about a year of driving hers I decided I wanted one but mine had to be fast, so I started looking at e60 m5's. The gas mileage and the bearing problems steered me away so I just typed into google twin turbo bmw and a pic of the 550i M SPORT popped up in the images search. That was it for me, after 3 months of researching and finding one in the color with the options I wanted I ordered it from a dealer in AZ. When it arrived was the first time I ever saw one in person, my dad was standing next to me and I said "that's what it looks like in person" he said "you've never seen one before except online?" I was like "yep". well that's how it happened for me
