Suddenly, my ipod won't play. I'm using the usb port and when I click on external device, my name comes up on the screen and the message says please wait...music never plays. Ipod works at home and I've tried another usb cable. Is there a reset? Help much appreciated!

I suggest you go through the usual steps......reset the iPod (not just turn it off...reset it). Start the car without the iPod, and plug it back in with a new cord (to isolate whether you have a cord problem). Which iPod are you using. Some of the older ones with internal HDs take longer to load, and if you just did a major update to the iPod, a delay in loading can happen.

If none of this works, you might have a problem with the USB port. I have always been concerned about the port not being on the side of the of storage box so that the cord is not sitting vertically. In that position, I think there is more of a risk of the cord and/or USB port being damaged.
