Ran through the rears so picked up some affordable replacements BF Goodrich G-Force Comps AS-2's. Because they were so affordable I decided to run a little experiment and raise the sidewalls. I have 20 inch rims so I was told that 35 front and 30 rear is the max height. I raised the rears from 30 to 35 and kept the front the same. I went from to 275 to 285/35 and no scraping! I have no errors and the ride quality has improved interms of soaking up road imperfections. I have less than 500 miles on them and so far their stickier and quieter than the Sumitomo's HTR Z's. The rear has a little meaner stance on 35's and from what I understand that's how Alpina runs the B7. It's a beefy tread design on the BF Goodrich but so far it's good and I can't tell if the speedo is off I'll have to compare it to an app reading.

can you post another pic from further back.

It looks a little off having 35 in the back vs 30, but i'm sure thats something you can get used to after a while.

do you think this screws up your speedo?

That's what my wife runs on her F10. 255/35/20 front and 275/35/20 rear. We did the 30 rears initially and the ride was too bumper for her taste. Speedo may be off by ~2mph but no biggy. Ride is much smoother and it fills in the rear wheel gap better. This only works if you have a RWD.

Yeah, I would have been more inclined to change the aspect ratio of both front and rear.

I like the meaty tire look!

But 285 tires on 9" wide wheels are a bit much.

I'll take another pic and not sure about the speedometer accuracy, yet. If it's off I'm sure it can be reprogrammed.

285 is not flush with the fender. 295 would be. Was even thinking next time I might try out a 275/40/20

it looks great as it is, I suspect when you go to 275/40 the tires available are more light truck tires. I have 285/30 now, I may try 285/35 next time. keep us posted how the bfg tires work out, I've never used them, Toyo has always been one of my favorites.

Thanks PJinCA
Here's a better perspective of 35 front and rear.
Now I'm wondering about proper tire pressure. Stock claims 38 rear 35 front and that's for 19's.

Looks weird, like you're driving a dragster.

Or a Dodge Charger, but it was an experiment and I'm liking the ride quality and performance so far. I'm good with esthetic too. It's all subjective of course.

I love the meaty loook LOL wish i cud run that on my xdrive but it throws off the xdrive system cuz its not within 1percent rolling diameter.....that and some 15mm spacers would look track stance aggressive ready!!!

Btw hows ur tune holding up? I tuned on thursday and dyno this awd with the torque is AMAZING!!

I would love to do the same, I like the front end to slope down a little, but unfortunately it's not an option for xDrive F10's...

Tune still smashing. Waiting for new clutch and it'll get better. Right now I'm throwing away horse power in the wrong clutch for the tune.

This. It's pretty obvious you ordered the wrong tires and anyone who knows better will think the same. Sell 'em and order the correct sizes. I would bet the comfort difference is negligible between a 30 and 35 series sidewall. Can't really justify it

Is not the car height .5" higher? I had 285/35/20 l, than switched to 285/30/20. It improved handling and car acceleration. Car rear dropped .5" lower too.
