BMWUSA.com says NAV for F10 is free in May!
I was just visiting the website and on the home page it says that Nav is free in May on the 5 series. I am going to have to ask the dealer about this because he gave me that 1730.00 credit but nav is 1900.00.

But lease rates went up in may so it might be a partial wash. Plus I don't think dealers will discount as much knowing that nav is "free". Does this free nav apply to in stock cars or only on orders?

I am wondering if we are allowed to do this....
We negotiate a car with all our options except Nav with a dealership... After we've got our final quote (hopefully closed to invoice), we say "let me add a nav." This will prevent any dealerships to include this offer as part of their "best" quote. |

Why spend $60K on the car when you can buy a yaris for $14K.

It's because the smaller screens for non-nav cars can't be produced due to the fact that the factory was partially destroyed in Japan's earthquake. So even if you don't want the nav, you're getting it.

GUYS..you know that bmw isn't santa!it's just because of a chip made in japan for the regular idrive screen that isn't available because of the quake...i think this apply just for cars that will be ordered only!!

Since when do we pay MSRP? Thus, you wouldn't see a $1900 credit since you don't pay that much.

That's weird! Mine was ordered and in production right now. If they are going to force you to get the Nav on an ordered 5 then it should be included at no charge, right?

First we have to understand if this nav credit is applicable to cars in stock only or to cars for order.
If this credit is indeed applicable to cars in stock, then I don't think the dealers will discount in-stock cars with nav as much as in-stock cars without nav. There is only a finite quantities of in-stock cars and the cars with nav will command a higher price premium. If the nav credit is only applicable for ordered cars, then typically dealers will not give out as much discount anyway.

For those complaining about not getting the benefit of NAV, through BMW Finance credit, they were previously through Feb giving $1500 credit and essentially free financing.
