Optimal tiresize for 8,5x20 and 10x20"

Hi everybody.

I'm thinking about stepping down from 21" to 20" this year on my F10.
But what tiresize do you recommend?

Wheels are 8,5x20" and 10x20"

I guess 245 front and 275 rear?
What about 275 / 35 rear?
and 245 / 40 front?

I would suggest not going larger than 245/35/20 on the front. I put M style rims off a 7 series that had GR run flats on it. They seemed fine but last week I noticed I had peeled the inner edge of the tire right down to the belting. I just put 245/3520s on and they are perfect.

I put 275/3520 on the rear. You may be able to push it to 275/40/20. I had those on and didn't have any trouble. Everything I read on here sticks with the 35s

OEM 20" size are 245/35/20 + 275/30/20.

But on aftermarket 20", many go with 285/30/20 in the rear.

I had 295/25R21 last year and my fuel consumption went from 0.55 - 0.70.... So this year i'm trying to save some fuel. And 295/25R21 was to little gum for a nice ride so thats why i'm choosing 20 inch in stead of 21.

Am i getting to old? :S

I have 255/295 Front/Rear on my car and my fuel cosumtion has not changed noticeable. Still has .55 average, but i have very little city driving.

20 inch wheels.
