Newbie here just got a M Sportt F10 525d inline six motor which dealer told me was one of the last 525d with a 3.0L engine. So far loving the beast. Had Mercs in the last so this is my first BMW

I have the same car too, 525d six. Great engine isn't it? I also manage over 40 to the gallon on a run not bad at all for a car this large and heavy!

Yea brilliant motor,I had it a month now and loving every bit of it. I hear it can be remapped to match the 530d but I guess I'll wait till the warranty runs out next September before I tamper with the ECU. Is yours the MSport?

It can be remapped to match the 530d - it is after all fundamentally the same engine.

What about this talk of needing a bigger turbo and intercooler for the remap? Or is it just a case of remapping and away you go..

A late response been busy! No, 525d High Executive, equivalent to a high spec SE with professional Nab, leather etc as I currently live in the Netherlands so Dutch spec cars. Auto too. Love it, quite economical with my lead right foot and very well made. A great car.
