Picked up my first F10 diesel!
After months of research and having owned two 535i Xdrive models, I finally decided to pull the trigger on a diesel. I installed my roof rack, added a some black kidneys and vinyl wrapped the chrome fender markers in black! The diesel is nothing short of impressive.

Loving the pictures of your car. The black kidney grill sets off the front of the car perfect with a real oem but Mean look! Esp with no front plates. Loving the roof rack also gives a real adventure look with the car in the snow. I know ok the states you guys have cheaper gas than us in the UK so it's nice to see someone buying a diesel and enjoying there torque on offer. Well done and happy motoring.

The diesel just works so much better for all-around driving city and highway. The power is mush more useable in the lower RPM range, since I'm not one to rev the engine to 7500 revs normally. The fuel economy is easily 10mpg average better and the Diesel engine is considerably more reliable than my other BMWs.

Just got the same car/color I do 70 miles a day so wanted the better fuel millage plus reading the reviews, I think I would really like this better than gas and I do.
I did the black grill too. Also, AC schnitzer springs and spacers. Love the new stance. I really love the engine the most about the car. I had a 535i loaner and it just didn't appeal to me as much. The power is awesome driving around town. Its always there. I floored it the other day from a stop pulling out and the rear tires chirped which I wasn't expecting with AWD. |

Congrats
I wish we would get the actual 535D (what we have is 530 in rest of the world) in the US. I recently drove a 535D in Europe and it was truly impressive.

diesels are useless in first/second gear, but once you get it into third, or just on the highway in general, the torque is ridiculous. shit flies if you plan to do city driving, diesels are useless however |

And the goodyears did excellent in the snow...[/QUOTE] I'll have to look it up. It's a CPO '14. Cold weather. Driver asst 1. Convenience. M sport. Heads up is what I remember. Going to put in bavsound. Rims are 19 m sport. I'll take some pics when it gets out of the shop. It's in for camera malfunction. Here is a pic before the black grill and spacers but is lowered. |

Many petrol drivers don't adapt to diesel torque, miss the point entirely. |

well i wouldnt say exactly useless, but diesels dont have much grunt in first or second gear. third gear is where you feel the torque on any diesel car. at highway speeds, it will feel alot more peppy then off the line in the city. on top of this, the f10 is a heavy car and the ZF first two gears a very short. even my gasoline n52 feels pretty gutless in the first two gears at normal rpm because of the ZF.
