Replace it.
It shouldn't be too expensive.

i am not sure how it cracked because i was looking around at my car and suddenly saw a cracked on the front bumper. it is about 3-4 cm. i am still thinking to buy the front bumper from one of the member here. it is 460 (include shipping). the color is already black sapphire metallic but it is 1 year old. is it worth? is there any additional fee to replace the bumper from the body shop?

In order to minimize the body shop cost, make sure that the replacement and original bumper are identical part numbers. That will help you to avoid mis-fits regarding PDC or camera holes. If the parts are not identical you may have to fund some behind-the-bumper parts as well.
You can get an idea of your bumper's part number by doing a little research on www.realoem.com For the labor hours, I was quoted 3.8 hours to remove the old bumper and put a new one on. You can ask in your area what the labor rates are in order to come up with a reasonable estimate. In San Diego, the body shop people are billing at 55-60 per hour. |
