DIY HELP: F10 M5 Spoiler Install on 550i

Hey guys,

I have been researching on the best way to install an M5 spoiler. There are a lot of methods I have been seeing, some on this forum, some on YouTube. Question is what do you think the best method is based on your experience for an exact, flush fit?

Also, has anyone tried using Windex on the exposed tape so that you have a bit of time to get the exact placement right? Does that impact how strong the tape will adhere to the trunk lid?

What does the manufacturer of the spoiler recommend? I am a believer in 3M tape; however, it may raise the spoiler a bit. My last spoiler was too perfect of a fit, and was not designed for tape. I used BetaLink, as suggested by BMW. Worked out great!

Do you have a picture of the spoiler bottom, where it contacts the boot/trunk?

Thanks for the reply. I used 3M tape. The spoiler was recessed in the area that the tape stuck to. Looks perfect, and no gaps!
