SE or M Sport?
I really am in two minds about what to do. I have been deliberating between the SE & the M Sport since the F10 was launched & at first, had my heart set on the M Sport version. Since these pics were revealed, I wonder if the SE looks more sophisticated than the M Sport? Particularly with enhanced SE spec? I would really value some feedback on this please.
I have a 520d SE on order with build due end of July. I have specified it with the following options:- Sophisto Grey Sports Auto Dynamic Pack with "W" 19" wheels Professional Nav Sun protection glass Then a few interior tweaks. I have the option to cancel my order until it goes to build & re-order the M Sport version. So, my question is. Should I continue with my existing order as above or, should I cancel when the UK window opens for M Sport orders in the UK? All opinions gratefully received. Thanks |

Obviously it's a personal preference thing but I wasn't very fond of the front chin of the F10 until I saw the pics of the M-Sport. Now a 535i with M-Sport is on my short list for next year. But, this is only my preference in looks as I like the more aggressive stance the F10 has with the M-Sport chin.

• Base (the budget model, plastic wheel covers, no AC, cloth seats and most dealers willh push you away from this- Munich taxi spec) • ES - Edition Sport (has a alloy wheels, better cloth trim) • Sport (alloy wheels, lowered sport suspension, as seen in the US Sport Pack, but not M-Sport suspension) • SE - Special Equipment (Alloys wheels, Leather, dimming rear mirror, Auto AC etc) • M-Sport (all over above plus sport seat, bigger alloy wheels, half leather etc) The 5 only comes in SE and M-Sport - you must decide which is best for you then add packs and/or options. The 1 series has the wides range, see here http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/pricesand...-bmwuk,00.html Its like the packs in the US, cheaper to get higher level than pay for individual items! Base spec is kiss-of-death at trade-in as no one wants a used car with no AC and plastic wheel covers! SE adds what most people consider essential items like alloy wheels, Auto AC, ambient light - its a moderate-luxury pack - and standard offering for the 5 in the UK. The M-Sport adds to the SE level with additional cosmetic items and the all important M-Sport suspenion set-up (its not just lowered) with tuned dampers and bushing. There are also other packs for nav, visability etc. All can be modified with most available options but there are some restrictions.
