Hi Edwin,

You car looks absolutely stunning. I've ordered a saphirschwarz 520d and was not sure about the lowering (at this moment I drive a 30mm lowered 325i Coupe), but your photo's convinced me about the lowering. Do you have no problems with speed bumps and bumpy roads (like the Rotterdam Ring)

In Holland, the official BMW dealership orders and installs the set. It is in fact a mod but full BMW warranty applies. The job of changing the springset (front and rear) is about 4,5 hours work. Total cost (time/material) is about 1000 EUR.
There is a set for the f11 as well (but only front I think)

I have done about 800 kms with the car and I am very happy with the setup. In sport mode the car is sharp and precise. And although it's a big car (my reference is e92 and 130i, both M sport suspension), it still feels agile and sporty, definitely no boat.
I guess, the adaptive drive is the key because the system can handle big rims and shorter/stiffer springs effortless.
IAS is also fundamental cause it makes cornering, especially low speed, great fun. Straight line high speed stability is perfect. I did 180 kmh on the Autobahn and I was very confident I could do it without touching the steering wheel.
True, steering is lighter than in my e92/e87 but by no means detached. It is, well, different.
Right now the car is on runflat wintertyres but next summer I will change to the 356 20" set (on RFTs). I am sure those rims will be comfortable as well.

As I said, the combination of Adaptive drive/IAS/19" rims and the stiffer springs works out really well. The 535d can definitely corner just as fast and confident as my e92/e87 but without the effect of breaking my back on road bumps.

Wow, Your lowering with Schnitzer springs, looks just perfect for the F10.
I need to do that too to my car.

Are these springs specially for the adaptive drive F10, or is it the same springs for all F10´s?

My wife will be mad if I destroy the ride comfort of the car........

Fantastic looking car.

It has been asked already but you haven't answered. The ACS website says that for cars with adaptive drive they supply springs for the FRONT ONLY, at a fiited cost of approx 500 euros. Can you please confirm if you have had just the fronts done or all four.

I did all four! Only the front would look a bit silly, I think.
By the way, I dropped all my specific questions concerning the drop at the local AC Schnitzer sales rep (by email). They were answered immediately and thoroughly.

Thanks for that. I've used Polished Bliss before and they are good. I dropped Werkstat a line too, very helpful.

The reason I ask is because with a toddler in the house and another on the way my days of spending hours on end perfecting the look of my car are sadly over I'm after a product that can give the car a good seal to protect it between washes and keep it looking as good as new for as long as possible.

And an hour sounds good to me

What u think about 535d motor, is it powerfull and are u thinked AC engineering, power kit? Are AC:s springs kit better or Eibach, do u know?

I asked about our dealer how much cost AC power kit, they dont answer yet. For 530d coming 80nm more torgue and 40 hp.

Unfortunately, dutch law says it's not allowed to tint the front windows at all.

Hi ,I am new to posting messages or questions but i am a fan of the forum.
I'm wondering how come you are that sure, because i have ordered 535d m-sport with adaptive drive and i'm wondering if i should ask the dealer to lower with schnitzer kit or not.The aspect of only front spirals might convince me,but what do you mean by reprogrammed.

But keep in mind there is a difference between an F10 and an F11.
The ACS lowering springset consists of:
- Only front springs for the f11 (2 springs)
- Front & rear springs for the f10 (4 springs)

The F10 and F11 happen to have diferent rear axles, that's why.

Congrats on your car,Now i'm convinced i chose the right color en setup ,though i passed on the ias.I'm concedering on lowering with acs cause your car looks magnificent ,but i drive now an e60 m-sport with lowered factory m-suspension and it sometimes hits bumps with the frontbumper.
On my 2005 m5 i have adaptive drive and hits nothing ,not even when i'm a little pressed,but it sits concederable higher than its brother.
My f10 is due second week of december but i would like it to be delivered complete with definitieve config sinds i'm noth keen on going back and forth to the dealer.
please any advice (car comes with 19" and would have 20 or 21" summershoes with rear 10" width).

Maybe I have got things mixed up. I emailed ACS UK today and they told this information that put forward. I wonder if they misunderstood me as I think you are indeed correct. The 'levelling suspension' mentioned on the ACS website I took to mean adaptive drive, but I think you are saying that it refers to the rear suspension on the F11.

Anyway, I will indeed contact them again tomorrow and confirm. My apologies to you if I came across as being rude.

I also have a 2005 M5 and it does not have adaptive drive, it has three adjustable suspension settings. Adaptive drive is something else altogether and you will have to Google and read about it to understand the difference.

The only way to know if you like it is to drive a car that has it fitted. I am going to this before I spec my 535d M Sport
