Hello!

I have a 2013 535i (f10, n55 engine)

I installed this MST Performance short intake a few months ago, and in the first few months it worked very well, however recently I get an issue that when I drive a car for about an hour and then shut it off - it cranks but doesn't start.
When I connect the scanner and test for the problem - it says that it's a leak in the crankcase vent hose, and when I get under the hood, I see that this hose is slightly disconnected from the bottom of this metal to rubber connector.
Then I have to loosen the hose clamp and push the hose as close as possible to the intake metal male end, and then reset the error and the car starts just fine.
At this point this is a huge issue because it happens pretty much every time I drive the car for more than 15-20 minutes, and it's a huge hassle to have to do this procedure every time.
I suspect that the reason could be that this rubber heats up and gets soft and loosens up, as well as the metal hose clamp also heats up, metal expands and it starts to loosen from vibration. Please note that this is how it came from MST and it's installed according to their instructions, but I got no response from them.
Did anyone else have this issue? If so, how did you remedy it?
I'm thinking about finding a hose that's more temperature resistant (any suggestions on what to look for?), also find a better way to clamp it down (a more heat resistant metal alloy, but I haven't been able to find any). Also maybe I should put a heat shield in that area but idk how I'd mount it and whether it will even work.

I had the same issue at first but ended up just tightening the heck out of the clamp and have not had an issue since. Im around 10,000mi since install

Also. I am looking to fabricate some better hoses for the intake and some molded ones for using a catch can, in the next few months or so.

I have the MST installed with no issues. I did make sure the adapter was even on both sides to ensure each clamp had enough to clamp on.

Try switching to a t bolt clamp, you can usually clamp down tighter on those.

Thanks for the advise. How did you manage to put the engine cover in this configuration? Since there are no places for it to click into, other than one hole, did you jerry-rig some mounts for it? Or maybe there is an aftermarket solution?
