Speech to Text

2014 535xi

How do you activate speech to text for text msg'ing. If you click on dictate speech is goes red and doesn't allow you. Dealer was no help. Anyone? BTW, don't want to go through iPhone which i don't have anyway.

Go to connected drive and select messages. Change filter to show all messages. Select the text message that has just been received . Select the play symbol and it will read out the message.
