520D efficient dynamics

Hi! i have a 520d efficient dynamics edition.
I just wanna ask whether if its possible to put 19 inch+ alloys to my 520d ED cause on the bmw website it says that 19 inch alloys are not compatible with the 520d ED edition.
does anyone know why?

The reason BMW doesn't have the 19" wheels as an option the 520d ED is most likely because of emissions/fuel consumption issues.

To be able to get down to the stated figures it has to run on slim tires with as little roll resistance as possible. This is common practice for the "efficient" models of all manufacturers (but some gives you the opportunity to go with fat wheels, which in reality invalidates the CO2 claims etc.).

I think boss330 is right, and I assume other F10 oem wheels would fit too.

Other than the extra fuel consumption.. There won't be any other issue if I put 20inch alloys right?

No problem at all. I have 20" BBS 9" front with 255 and 10,5 with 295 tires rear. Is Your car 184 or 163 hp version? I dont think there is any other difference.

Doesn't matter what output your engine have. It's just that in Norway where i live we have 163 HP version too. You can fit 20" with no problem just dont get the ET wrong if you are thinking og lowering you car alot. Not really sure what Efficient Dynamics version is now, but i guess its the start/stop function and brake regeneration. I have brake regeneration on my 2011 but not the start stop function.
